(27/08/08) The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Horst Köhler wished UEM General Secretary Fidon Mwombeki a happy birthday when he visited the von Bodelschwingh Institutions Bethel on August, 26th. The von Bodelschwingh Institutions, the biggest diaconic corporation, are one of the 35 members of the UEM.

President Köhler was impressed by the good individual support people with special needs receive in Bethel, the von Bodelschwingh Institutions said in a press release.

Köhler visited a number of places in Bethel such as the Patmos School and the vocational training centre Bethel where about 180 young people with special needs are trained in 20 trades.
