The United Evangelical Mission is an international communion of 34 churches in Africa, Asia and Germany, and the v Bodelschwingh Institutions Bethel. The UEM members support each other through the exchange of personnel and fi-nancial assistance.

On behalf of our member church in the Philippines, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) we are looking for a

Theological Lecturer

for the Divinity School of Silliman University www.su.edu.ph in Dumaguete City on the island of Negros Silliman University – with eleven different faculties and presently approximately 7000 students – is among the uni-versities with the highest reputation in the country.

The UCCP looks for a theological lecturer preferably holding a PhD (New Testament or Biblical Studies) for teaching New Testament / biblical stud-ies, for giving lectures, seminars and tutorials as well as offering scientific support and care to the students. English is the working language.

Qualifications:

  • ordained theologian with working experience in a local congregation
  • proven experience in teaching theology on an academic level
  • excellent command of English language  

The Divinity School of Silliman University will provide housing. Salary and benefits will be paid by the UEM. The UEM exchange co-worker should be ready to take up his/her service as of mid 2009 at least for one team of three years.
