»Ecumenical Workshop Bethel«

The »Ecumenical Workshop Bethel«, one of the two conference centres and educational institutions of the UEM was completed in 1971. The building formerly served as the administration building for the Bethel Mission, which became part of the UEM in 1976.

Conference and guest house

Our friendly conference and guest house offers rooms for events and seminars as well as for days of relaxation.

The EW Bethel has modern single, double and family rooms for 25 adults or 35 young people. The conference rooms are suitable for 40 people or 15 people; the room for devotions for around 20 people. Furthermore the EW Bethel has a library with mission theology literature, a well-assorted One-World Shop with fair-traded products and a play area with a table football and table tennis.

Surroundings

The house is charmingly situated in the Bielefeld suburb of Bethel, characterised by the v. Bodelschwinghschen Institution and the living together of handicapped and non-handicapped people.

In Bielefeld our visitors will find museums, theatre, cinemas, swimming baths, an art gallery and the Sparrenburg. Its situation on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest offers excellent opportunities for walking and excursions to many different places.
