»Evangelism means sharing God’s passion for people, and telling people about it«
Evangelism is therefore a key area of mission and a cross-section task in all fields of work.
The member churches of the UEM live in a secular, multicultural and multi-religious environment. In this context they are constantly challenged to re-formulate and communicate the message of God’s passion for humankind.
The Evangelism Desk of the UEM supports the member churches in this work in many ways
- by sponsoring, supporting and developing new missionary projects (“New Areas of Mission”, Mission in the cities)
- by offering further training workshops and seminars to preachers and evangelists
- by the exchange of ideas between pastors from Africa, Asia and Germany through so-called United -in-Mission Teams
- by developing programmes to motivate and train congregations in evangelism.
