The fourth course of the international Master's study program in diaconic Management (IMADM K4), which was conducted over two years in all three regions of UEM, was successfully completed at the beginning of September. The final exams and the defense of the Master's theses were held online for the first time on September 1 and 2, 2020. The eleven students were accompanied by ten examiners and supervisors during their Master's thesis.

The introduction of online exams became necessary and the only option, as the students could not travel to Germany from their home countries due to corona restrictions. The United Evangelical Mission and the Institute for Diakonia Science and Diaconia Management (IDM) in Germany congratulate the students on their successful completion and wish them all the best for their new tasks. The graduates are well educated and highly motivated to take on new challenges, especially in a time when diaconal work plays a decisive role in the worldwide debate about the COVID-19 virus.

International Study Program for Diaconic Management (MA)

Since 2011, the UEM has been offering the Master study program in cooperation with the Institute for Social Service and Social Service Management of the Theological University Wuppertal/Bethel and international cooperation partners. The individual modules take place at the universities of the cooperation partners in Germany, Indonesia, South Africa, Tanzania and the Philippines.
