By Martina Pauly From August 17th to 20th, 2015 four new co-workers of the UEM South-South personnel exchange program are introduced to UEM during their stay in the Wuppertal mission house. In various talks with UEM co-workers the new colleagues become acquainted with the history, structure, way of work and programs of the United Evangelical Mission. They are:
Rev. Starlife Asi, English teacher for Sumatra churches, Medan (Indonesia), since July 2015
Mr. Désiré Safari Kanyena, development work, CDCC Mbandaka + CADELU Basankusu (DR Congo) since January 2013
Dr. David Hutabarat, medical doctor / health work, GKPM Mentawai (Indonesia) since January 2015
Dr. Josephat Rweyemamu, theological lecturer, Silliman University Dumaguete, UCCP Philippines) since May 2014
Unfortunately,
Dr. Raymond Gbombo Bachongo, medical doctor, GKI-TP Papua (Indonesia) could not attend the orientation course due to visa problems. It is a special tradition that the UEM co-workers in Wuppertal pray for God’s blessing and accompaniment for the benefit of the new colleagues in a sending devotion on the last day of the orientation course.
