Today, we received the sad news that our North-South co-worker Pastor Martin Feuersänger has passed away due to severe illness at the age of 60 yesterday evening. In August 1989 Martin Feuersänger and his family had been sent to the congregation of Broadhurst of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church to Gaborone (Botswana) for the first service term. After being eight years in Germnay Pastor Feuersänger took the opportunity to travel to the UEM Africa region for a second term in March 2014. But this time he worked for three years as a lecturer at the United Lutheran Theological Seminary of Paulinum in Windhoek, Namibia. During his stay he became severely ill and had to return to Germany for medical treatment. His enthusiasm for music, his work, his family and friends as well as his strong faith supported him during his illness. We include Pastor Feuersänger and his family in our prayers.
