Recovering and staying healthy

Whether for tropical diseases, injuries, or joyful occasions such as births: many people in Africa and Asia are helped by Christian hospitals. The UEM member churches are no exception to that.

UEM's health work

The hospitals and health centres of our member churches contribute to the improvement of health service provision in countries in the Southern Hemisphere – and have for many years.

Pastoral care is vital

Our field staff not only give their know-how to the communities they live in, the ministry of pastoral care is also an important element of their devotion. That’s why we also organise international further education seminars for pastors in the field of clinical pastoral care.

A learning network

At the United Evangelical Mission we provide our member churches with a one-of-a-kind network in which members can dialogue with and learn from one another. These exchanges are important not only for questions about medical therapies and counselling people, but also for the financial and business administration of a health care facility.
