Fort- und Weiterbildung 2021

Im Jahr 2021 bieten wir wieder zahlreiche Fort- und Weiterbildungsprogramme an. Sie finden in allen drei Regionen der VEM und in englischer oder deutscher Sprache statt.  

Alle unsere Bildungsprogramme folgen den Grundsätzen der VEM für „Global Learning in Ecumenical Perspective (GLEP)“: Sie werden in international zusammengesetzten Gruppen und mit international zusammengesetzten Bildungskoordinatoren durchgeführt.

Einige wenige unserer Programme sind nur für bereits fest zusammengesetzte Gruppen geöffnet, etwa für Freiwillige in Vorbereitung ihrer Ausreise. Dies ist bei den einzelnen Programmen vermerkt. Alle anderen Programme sind offen für alle Interessierten.

  • Internationaler Online-Gottesdienst: 8. Mai 2021, ab 17 Uhr

    Gemeinsame Veranstaltung der Evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Geldern und der VEM

    Am 8. Mai 2021 ab 17 Uhr kann ein internationaler evangelischer Gottesdienst zeitgleich auf dem YouTube-Kanal der Evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Geldern und der Vereinten Evangelischen Mission (VEM) verfolgt werden.

    Gestaltet wird der Online-Gottesdienst von der Gemeinde Geldern, den Gemeinden der VEM-Mitgliedskirchen in Afrika, Asien und Deutschland sowie von Mitarbeitenden der VEM in Deutschland. Der internationale Gottesdienst wird in verschiedenen Sprachen gehalten und von der "Heilig-Geist-Kirchen-Band" aus Geldern musikalisch begleitet. Die aus Indonesien stammende Theologin Mika Purba, die derzeit als Austauschpfarrerin der VEM in der Evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Geldern sowie im Kirchenkreis Kleve tätig ist, organisiert zusammen mit einem Team aus ihrer Ortsgemeinde den internationalen Online-Gottesdienst.
    Inhaltlich befasst sich der Gottesdienst mit der nächsten Vollversammlung des Weltkirchenrats in Karlsruhe, die aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie auf 2022 verschoben wurde. „Wir beten gemeinsam für unsere Brüder und Schwestern in verschiedenen Ländern, in denen diese aufgrund ihres ethnischen Hintergrundes, ihrer Hautfarbe, ihres Geschlechts, ihrer Nationalität oder ihrer Religion Rassismus und Diskriminierung erfahren. Unsere Kultur ist ein Geschenk Gottes an uns“, so Pfarrerin Mika Purba.

    Der internationale Gottesdienst wird auf den YouTube-Kanälen der Kirchengemeinde Geldern und der VEM weiterhin zur Verfügung stehen.

  • Human rights - endangered liberty - shrinking spaces and our Christian response. Human Rights online forum: 13 May 2021, 13 - 15.30 CET

    Seit 1948 gibt es die Allgemeine Erklärung der Menschenrechte. Der Blick in die Länder unserer Partnerkirchen in Afrika, Asien, Europa und den USA zeigt, dass heute noch viele Menschenrechte missachtet werden. Demokratische Regierungen werden durch autokratische Regimes abgelöst. Vertreter*innen unserer Partnerkirchen sprechen über Menschrechtsverletzungen und zeigen, welche Rolle die Kirchen spielen. Wo sind wir als Partnerkirche aufgefordert hinzuschauen und Lobby- und Advocacyarbeit zu leisten?

  • Virtual International Study Week at EH Darmstadt: Creating Spaces ... Inclusive Societies and Inidivdual (In)Visibility: 17 - 21 May 2021

    From May 17th to 21st the "Virtual International Week - Creating Spaces" of the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt will take place, to which we cordially invite you. The topic of the conference is “Creating Spaces… Inclusive Societies and Individual (In) Visibility”.

  • Antirassismus-Training für Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene, digital und von Zuhause: 11. und 12. Juni 2021

    Am 11. Juni 2021: 16-20 Uhr und am 12. Juni 2021: 10-14 Uhr – digital von Zuhause

    Ziel des Antirassismus-Trainings ist es, die Teilnehmer*innen mit der eigenen Verwicklung in rassistische Systeme und Denk­­weisen in Kontakt zu bringen. Gemeinsam wird im Laufe des Seminars über erste Schritte nachgedacht, wie man rassistische (auch die eigenen) Systeme verlassen kann.
    Angebot: Die Teilnehmer*innen  werden im Laufe der Veranstaltung mit Hilfe von verschiedenen Methoden erleben, wie und wodurch rassistisch geprägte Zusammenhänge auf ihr eigenes (Er-)Leben einwirken. Diese werden in diversen Gruppengesprächen thematisiert und bewertet.

    Zugleich können die Teilnehmer*innen anhand unterschiedlicher Schaubilder (Handouts) lernen, wie sich rassistische Ressentiments gebildet und verbreiten haben, und wie sie sich auf People of Colour (PoC) und deren Alltag auswirken. Die Veranstaltung bietet eine konstruktive und nachhaltige Begegnung mit Menschen, die täglich von Rassismus betroffen sind. Sie will dazu ermuntern, rassistische Ressentiments wahrzunehmen, ihnen zu begegnen und sie im persönlichen Wirkungsbereich zu vermeiden.

    Anti-Rassismus-Training
    Rassismus steckt in unseren Köpfen und Körpern und macht sich an Stellen bemerkbar, an denen es uns kaum auffällt. Dies geschieht im Alltag, in der Partnerschaftsarbeit, in Diskussionen. Wie sind wir als Weiße selber durch Rassismus geprägt? Was kann uns helfen, die Eingebundenheit unserer Persönlichkeit in rassistische Denk- und Gefühlsmuster zu erkennen, die wir schon früh internalisiert haben. Was kann uns helfen, sie zu erkennen und zu reflektieren? Wie lernen wir, unsere Arbeit und unsere Theologie in der Kirche anti-rassistisch zu gestalten?

    Der RIO und die VEM bieten ein Grundtraining an. Es wird durchgeführt von zwei Trainern von Phoenix. e.V.     

    Das Ziel von Phoenix e.V. ist es, Menschen für den Rassismus in seiner alltäglichen und strukturellen Erscheinungsform zu sensibilisieren. In dem Maße, in dem sie sich ihrer eigenen Prägung bewusst werden, erhalten sie Möglichkeiten, der Negativität des Rassismus positive Strategien entgegenzustellen.
