The Council of the United Evangelical Mission has come together for its first meeting in 2013. The supervisory board of the UEM meets in Dar Es Salaam/Tanzania until Wednesday.
One agenda point is the decision about the successorship of Robinson Butarbutar, Executive Secretary for Training & Empowerment. Mr Butabutar returns to his Indonesian home church HKBP in summer. The Council also receives the report of the General Secretary.
The Council comprises 14 delegates from the General Assembly:
the Moderator (Regine Buschmann from v. Bodelschwingh Foundations, Germany), four persons from each of the three regions and one young person. The Council advises and supervises the Management Team, elects the General Secretary, and appoints the General Secretariat and the Executive Secretaries as members of the Management Team.
