Photo: Rev. Dr. Dr. Amran Simangunsong, a UEM scholarship holder, at his doctoral graduation ceremony at Silliman University, Dumageuete/Philippines, in July 2021. His dissertation title is: "Evangelism in the Religious Pluralistic Context as a Challenge for the Indonesian Christian Church." Congratulations on his academic achievement!
Few people can afford to study without financial support. At the same time, the need for skilled experts is increasing - also in the member churches of the UEM. The scholarship program of the UEM makes it possible for people to study and gain further qualifications so that they can then contribute to the further development of their local churches.
"Scholarships support the development of the UEM member churches in the global ecumenical society. The UEM understands ecumenism as an effort to bring justice and peace for all the inhabitants of the earth, regardless of their cultural, religious or social backgrounds. Countless scholarship holders work in various strategic positions in their churches and in society."
Rev. Dr. Andar Parlindungan, UEM Board member and Executive Secretary Training & Empowerment
