The Association of Protestant Churches and Missions (EMW) is a community of Protestant churches, agencies and associations in mission and ecumenism. Nine mission associations, including the UEM, five independant churches, five associations and the Evangelical Church in Germany form the umbrella for mission.
The General Secretary of the UEM, Volker Martin Dally, his deputy, Jochen Motte, as well as Lisa Bergmann, officer for the UEM Volunteer Programme South-North, attended the General Assembly in Leipzig to discuss current issues with other delegates.
Jochen Motte, Head of the Department for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation, was re-elected to the EMW Board of the EMW General Assembly and was solemnly inducted with the other board members in the closing worship service.
