Gangolf Nießen - New in the UEM team

Gangolf Nießen has been the new caretaker at Rudolfstrasse in Wuppertal since 1 September 2021 and supports the UEM's "Haus und Grund" (Central Services) team.

What were your first days at the UEM like?

First of all "arriving", getting to know many new people and slowly getting into the daily business. I was particularly impressed by the very friendly welcome from all my colleagues!

How did you find your way to the UEM?

Friends made me aware of the job advertisement. I have lived in Wuppertal for 33 years, worked at the YMCA before and therefore already knew the UEM a bit. The new challenge and above all the versatility of my area of responsibility made me curious.

What did you notice during your first few days at the UEM?

The atmosphere here in the house with all the different people is special! Everyone is friendly - the tasks of the UEM are varied, the contact among each other is very warm.
