Mika Purba new head of the Ecumenical Office at the HKBP

The Ecumenical Office of the Toba Batak Christian Protestant Church (HKBP) has a new leader. On July 25, 2022, the HKBP church leadership appointed Rev. Mika Purba to lead. The HKBP is a member church of the UEM in Indonesia. It is the largest Protestant church in Asia with about 3.7 million members.

 

Previously, Rev. Mika Purba was an ecumenical co-worker of the United Evangelical Mission and the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland in the church district of Kleve and in the Evangelical church community of Geldern for six years.
