The new team "Regional Service of the UEM" started its work in the United Evangelical Mission on April 1, 2022. Thus, the UEM will offer ecumenical and developmental grassroots work in the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland on its own.
The UEM will take up the impulses of international partnership work and civil society connections in the church districts and congregations of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland and link these with its worldwide orientation. To do this, it will use both its numerous networks, such as that of the "Young Adults," and its extensive experience of global learning in an ecumenical perspective. "We are pleased that four of the pastors who previously held comparable positions within the Rhineland Church can be taken over into the service of the UEM. This means that important experience will be retained. In addition, we are already planning a kick-off event in May with all the people who would like to get involved here," said Timo Pauler, Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration of the UEM and Deputy General Secretary.
