For the victims of the flooding catastrophe in the west of Germany, donations of more than 7,000 euros have now been received from Indonesia as emergency aid from the United Evangelical Mission (UEM) for the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland (EKiR) and Evangelical Church of Westphalia (EKvW).

The donors from Indonesia are both member churches of the UEM and individual donors who feel connected to the international evangelical mission. "In view of the dramatic Corona situation in Indonesia, where many people are currently dying from the delta variant of Covid-19, we are all the more pleased that both churches and, in particular, individuals have expressed their help in prayer and donations," said Volker Martin Dally, UEM General Secretary.

Following the recent donations from 15 African churches of the UEM, a total of more than 30,000 euros from Africa and Indonesia will thus go to the German regional churches affected by the effects of the flood disaster, which are members of the international church communion.
