25 years with the United Evangelical Mission

In 1995 he began his journey with the UEM in the Ecumenical Workshop, Auf der Hardt, as a community service volunteer. "There I had the opportunity to get to know the UEM at seminars for confirmation candidates and in adult education and was able to help out at the museum foundation. That excited me."

As a social science graduate, he has passed through various stations since 1996, helping out wherever he was needed, including as head of the in-house print shop. For the past five years, he has been supporting the Asia Department in dealing with the many administrative tasks involved in projects and cooperation with member churches in the Asia region.

"The togetherness in the UEM still inspires me. We have a very good working atmosphere. The variety of tasks is something special. Right now I am coordinating emergency aid projects with a colleague in the regional office in Indonesia. From the time difference to the linguistic and cultural peculiarities: all this makes our cooperation interesting and exciting. Even after 25 years, I learn something new every day. And it's still fun!"
