In the night of September 1st to 2nd a very well-equipped and armed group attacked the SEKOMU University of the diocese, breaking down doors and threatening to kill students in the dormitories. A security guard who started to argue with the attackers was killed. Later, they burned down two of the student dormitories and disappeared again. It is not clear who is behind this attack. Please keep the North-Eastern Diocese and the university community in your prayers.
The UEM community is currently busy in organizing a financial emergency aid for the affected institution.
