“War is against God’s very nature!”

At the occasion of their gathering this January in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, the leaders of all African member churches of UEM have issued a joint message of peace. It comes out of UEM’s mission as taking part in God’s mission on earth and applies it to different conflicts of war.

Starting with the well known conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and Israel and Palestine, the church leaders also raise their concerns about less well known conflicts, such as the war in the eastern DR Congo, Sudan or on the island of Papua. They appreciate the countries who welcome and accommodate refugees and continue to assist them.
