There have been many good applications submitted to the first partnership competition. At least, the jury has selected three of them to be the winners. Among them are the following: The partnership between the church circuit An der Nahe and Glan in Germany side and the Presbytery Rubengera in Ruanda. They support many children families and allow kids to go to school and to earn some money. The partnership among three church circuits of GKI-TP in West Papua, Indonesia and the church circuit Schwelm. The partnership project is addressed to teachers helping to fight illiteracy, especially in rural regions. And also an international youth partnership between the German church circuits Braunfels, Simmern Trabach and Wetzlar and young people from the UEM members in Namibia and Botswana. The project focuses on a joint composition of a musical. All projects show the great variety of project work among UEM partnerships. The winners will receive the partnership award and 2.000 € at the forthcoming UEM General Assembly taking place in Kigali, Rwanda from October 3 to 6, 2016. (Martina Pauly)
