Cyangugu with New Leadership

EAR Cyangugu Diocese is one of the 4 Dioceses of the EAR*, making together one UEM member.As the outgoing Bishop Francis Karemera is soon starting his retirement, the House of Bishops of the Anglican Church of Rwanda elected his successor.

The Bishop-Elect is the Rev Nathan Muhutu who will be consecrated on 1 December 2024 as the Bishop of EAR Cyangugu. In introducing himself he says: “I am a senior Clergy in the Anglican Church of Rwanda, ordained since 2009. I have an experience in leadership for 25 years, both in the local Government and in the Church”.Rev Nathan Muhutu has acquired training experiences in strategic discipleship, holding diplomas and certificates of international recognition. He has been working for the entire Anglican Church of Rwanda as one of senior Personnel at the Kigali head Office of the Anglican Church of Rwanda.

The UEM wishes God’s blessings to Bishop Francis Karemera as he prepares his retirement as well as a blessed and successful take over by the Bishop Elect, Rev Nathan Muhutu.
