During the Council meeting of the United Evangelical Mission (UEM), held from March 9 to 16 in West Papua, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Muhozi was officially introduced as the new Head of the Africa Division. The introduction was conducted by the Moderator of UEM, Bishop Dr. Abednego Keshomshahara.
Muhozi had previously been appointed as successor to Rev. Dr. John Wesley Kabango, who has since retired. In his new role, Muhozi also became a member of VEM’s five-member Management Team. He took up his position on November 1, 2025, at the Mission House in Wuppertal.
The 46-year-old theologian previously served as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at the Protestant University of Rwanda (PUR) and is a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Rwanda.
