Farewell for Jutta Beldermann

The United Evangelical Mission (UEM) has said good-bye to Jutta Beldermann with an emotional farewell. The Deputy General Secretary and Executive Secretary for the German Region leaves UEM after almost 20 years. As from now she will work for the v. Bodelschwingh Foundations, being responsible for the theological education of the co-workers there. UEM general secretary Dr Fidon Mwombeki honoured Beldermann as a "truly ecumenically thinking theologian". "I know that Bethel gets one of the best people you could ever get." "You were a blessing for UEM", Ahlerich Osterndorp, the chairman of the German region, said. Jutta Beldermann is a pastor of the Evanglical Church of the Rhineland (EKiR). She has been working for UEM since 1992. For the last six years she has been leading the German department at UEM headquarters in Wuppertal. In 2008 the UEM council elected her as Deputy General secretary.
