70 volunteers from South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Congo, Ghana, Brazil, Sweden, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Germany, Taiwan and Malaysia participated in the festival at Himmelsfels in Spangenberg, Hesse, from June 09-12, 2022. The festival was addressed to current and former “weltwärts” volunteers from all over the world who are doing their voluntary service in Germany in various evangelical mission agencies and church institutions.
The volunteers enjoyed many activities like yoga, music and dance, workshops, devotions, mutual exchange of experiences, discussions in the workshops and played funny games.
Christy Angela Munthe, at the moment UEM South North volunteer from Indonesia: "This festival was a good opportunity to have experiences that not only make our faith grow, but also help us to experience something new: get to know and share new cultures and languages, meet new people and network."
