Cleaning an Indonesian city from garbage, building energy saving stoves in Tanzania, setting up home gardens in Yemen: hundreds of young people from all over the world become active against climate change at the Youth Climate Action Day on December 7th. The day was initiated by the UEM, the Evangelical Church of Westphalia and the One Word Network Northrhine-Westphalia. There will be actions in Africa, Asia and Latin America. "If nothing happens at the UN climate talks, at least we want to do something", Katja Breyer from the organisation committee says. Youth groups from seven countries took part at the first action day in 2012, this year young people from ten countries will be part of this worldwide movement.
