“I feel like being in a family!”

UEM Regional Office Asia just gained a new member of staff:

Priskila Nababan works as an IT System Administrator. She is working from Pematang Siantar to make sure that UEM’s Servers, Cloud and File systems are running safe and reliable, for UEM coworkers, for UEM member churches and guests at international events. Especially since the pandemic, online cooperation has become an increasing part of UEM’s work as an international communion of churches, saving both time and paper in our projects and programmes. Priskila Nababan as member of Team IT will be there to help with any problems and issues arising.

She studied Information Technology in Laguboti and worked as a System Analyst in Yogyakarta. “My education was good. But now I still have to learn a lot and try new things. And this is all supported by the team. The team management is very good” she says about her new working environment at UEM. She also appreciates working in an international organization with colleagues on three continents, especially in her new team: “I feel like being in a family and my team in Wuppertal has welcomed me. I feel so comfortable because they care for me.”

In her free time, when she’s not running servers and assisting other people with their technology issues, she loves to sing, for example in church, and to explore new places she hasn’t been to before.
