Four months that flew by: Four students from Tanzania, Sri Lanka and Indonesia look back on a semester in Germany. At the Ev. Hochschule Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe (EvH RWL) in Bochum, they spent a summer semester studying, exchanging ideas and gaining new experiences. They come from Tumaini University Dar Es Salaam College, the Theological College of Lanka and Satya Wacana Christian University.
Integration, diversity and disability were the topics they worked on. A highlight of the programme was the German Protestant Church Day in Nuremberg, where Magritha M. Tsere from Tanzania met Bishop Alex Malasusa, the leader of her church ELCT/ECD*.
"I am so grateful for all these learning experiences and the many international meetings. I really look forward to being able to bring the study and life experiences back home to my church and university" is how Sadrakh A. M. Haloho, a student at Satya Wacana in Indonesia, sums it up.
The United Evangelical Mission supports and accompanies the programme in terms of content and finances: Learning together with and from each other is one of the main elements of Global Learning in Ecumenical Perspective.
