From July 4 to 12, 2016 a new leadership training is taking place, especially for the newly elected leaders of our UEM member churches, among them seven from the Africa and six from the Asia region. In the conference centre on the holy mountain in Wuppertal, the training focus on personnel management, which contains the following modules: improvement of leadership behavior, principles and methods of personnel management, bible studies dealing with the subject of leadership and Jesus as an example of leadership character.
In an evening encounter with German church leaders all participants will have a joint dinner and a round of discussion.
The leadership training will end with a visit to the Luther House in Wittenberg where Luther´s life began and ended. The theme „Reformation and One World“ is the key word in the Reformation Decade of the year 2016. Evangelical Churches have been founded in the course of Reformation and work in mission in the whole world. The goal of the study tour is to get to know the most important venues where Martin Luther as well as Philip Melanchthon lived and where they have been working.

Thomas Solomons.
