'I am really grateful for God’s guidance during the AsRA 2023. I do believe as the young people, we also should give contribution to the church and people around us. AsRA 2023 has helped me personally in learning about those issues and building my network by getting to know each other who are coming from other churches. May we all always grow together,  share experiences and knowledge that are very interesting and useful. Thank you! See you in the upcoming AsRA!'

That is the conclusion of Andhita Ayu Larasati, youth delegate from GKJTU*, a member church of the UEM, to the Asia Regional Assembly (AsRA).

51 delegates from the Asian member churches of the UEM met from February 17-23, 2023, for joint deliberations on issues of concern to local people, discussions on important changes within their churches, and mutual exchange. The theme of the new legislative period, which was decided at the UEM General Assembly in Villigst last year, was the focus of the conference: "The beam in our eye - discrimination in church and diaconia".

As in the German Regional Assembly, the elections to the Regional Board were an important element on the agenda.
