Since August 22, the UEM has a new employee in the Communication & Fundraising team: Malte Möring succeeds Brunhild von Local. He made his first experiences with the UEM in 2013 as a North-South volunteer in Nias (Indonesia). He worked at several church conventions as part of the UEM team and supported other volunteers before they left for Indonesia. These encounters drive him - theologically, politically and personally. His theology studies were also influenced by them. That's why he studied two semesters at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), a university in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, that specializes in contextual theology: How does our everyday life shape our faith? What unites us across cultures, and what makes us unique? These questions led him into theology - and now into the Communication & Fundraising team of the UEM.
