Partnership dwells

Whoever came to UEM Mission house in Wuppertal yesterday could recognize the guests from the Simalungung Church (GKPS) immediately. Their colourful dresses contrasted to the workaday clothes of the German visitors. More than 80 guests came to celebrate an evening of music, dance and interesting talks. Visitors came e.g. from Hagen, Solingen and Bad Marienberg. The partnerships there meet with the guests from GKPS next week in Leichlingen for the partnership consulation. Dean Martin Fried from Bad Marienberg emphazised how important such meeting are. The cooperation and the contact to the church basis has become better and better, he said. Lertina Saragih, officer for ecumenical relations at GKPS, praised the youth exchanges as a good example for a living partnership. Dances and Songs, a short presentation of the history of GKPS and interesting interviews completed the evening.
