As we know that the wealth in this world is still not evenly spread, but it is no longer true that only the churches of the North can support others the member churches of the United Evangelical Mission in Africa and Asia support each other with heart and soul in a very efficient way. That is why UEM initiated United Action in the year 2012. We want to show that the churches in Africa and Asia are powerful in every respect, including financial aid for those who need help. We can achieve a lot if we all act in concert and take over joint ownership of UEM. The "United Action" campaign connects all actions aiming at raising this financial aid. Now, the results 2016 are on the table and it is impressive to see that especially remote member churches like GKI-TP in Papua have exceeded the expectations by 253 percent but also relatively rich member churches like CRC in Hong Kong exceeded the fundraising goal at least by 123 percent. But the most astonishing outcome of the campaign is that the member churches of the Africa region, which is often considered to be the
poor continent, have been able to collect more funds than those of the Asia region. Nevertheless, it is a fruitful competition for the benefit of joint projects helping "children in need". Children and youth are a great treasure the Lord has given us. To make a better future for them possible is one of our most important tasks.
