United in Singing

In times of physical separation, which became necessary as a protective measure against the spread of the corona virus, 13 musicians from African, Asian and German UEM member churches contributed to the production of "Amazing Grace" - probably one of the most popular Christian hymns of the last two centuries.

John Newton, an English poet and Anglican pastor, wrote the song with the message that forgiveness and redemption are possible regardless of the sins committed and that the soul can be redeemed from despair through the mercy of God. The musical contributions, which are presented with great feeling, make the listener feel like being part of the UEM family, which is united in singing and worshipping on Good Friday and Easter 2020. Even though our everyday life has changed considerably, the Lord will be the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and will accompany us with His mercy and amazing grace. A blessed Easter time!
