Since 1927 Christians around the world traditionally celebrate the Women's World Day of Prayer on the first Friday in March. A part of the tradition is also that women from a special country prepare the day with prayers, music, actions and information. This year on March 3, women from the Philippines are in the focus of the day. In accordance with the bible text in Matthew 20,1-16 which tells the parable from the workers in the vineyard, the current discussion deals with the question: "What is fair?" In this context the living conditions of the people in the Philippines are discussed, especially those of women but also of the whole society. Issues like working conditions, migration, climate change and the fight against poverty are subjects of the reflections and meditations. All Christians are invited to take part in the worships, discussions or prayers offered on that day.
