Elections and the responsibility of the churches
Tanzania and Germany are preparing for voting for National elections in 2025. For years, religious institutions have played a critical role in advocating for democratic integrity and accompanying elections. This event will examine questions such as:
How can churches in Tanzania and Germany actively support transparency and justice in elections? What roles can religious institutions take in nurturing community engagement and ethical practices within the political landscape? How can our partnerships strengthen the churches' impact on election integrity in both countries?
We thought it is important we learn from each other through this country seminar. The seminar will explore into the responsibility of churches in supporting fair and credible electoral processes.
Welcome and let’s engage together in this essential conversation on the distinctive role of churches in promoting democratic values and accountability.
The seminar will take place online. It will be held in English, upon request there will be a translation, especially of the lectures into German.
