Im Jahr 2022 bieten wir wieder zahlreiche Fort- und Weiterbildungsprogramme an. Sie finden in allen drei Regionen der VEM und in englischer oder deutscher Sprache statt.
Alle unsere Bildungsprogramme folgen den Grundsätzen der VEM für „Global Learning in Ecumenical Perspective (GLEP)“: Sie werden in international zusammengesetzten Gruppen und mit international zusammengesetzten Bildungskoordinatoren durchgeführt.
Einige wenige unserer Programme sind nur für bereits fest zusammengesetzte Gruppen geöffnet, etwa für Freiwillige in Vorbereitung ihrer Ausreise. Dies ist bei den einzelnen Programmen vermerkt. Alle anderen Programme sind offen für alle Interessierten.

Antworten auf Naturkatastrophen
Im Juli 2021 führten extreme Unwetter zu einer Hochwasserkatastrophe in Teilen Deutschlands, in deren Folge über 180 Menschen ihr Leben verloren. Die Fluten zerstörten zahlreiche Straßen, Bahnstrecken und Brücken, viele Menschen waren für Wochen von der Stromversorgung abgeschnitten. Die diakonischen Einrichtungen deutscher Kirchen leisteten finanzielle und materielle Soforthilfen, seelsorgerische Begleitung und fördern seitdem den Wiederaufbau zerstörter Häuser. Bereits kurz nach der Flutkatastrophe erreichten aber auch Solidaritätsbekundungen und finanzielle Soforthilfen von Kirchen im globalen Süden die betroffenen Kirchen in Deutschland. Und es wurde schnell deutlich: Im Umgang mit Naturkatastrophen sind Kirchen im globalen Süden erprobter und erfahrener als ihre ökumenischen Partner im globalen Norden es häufig sind.
Vertreter*innen indonesischer Kirchen berichten im Länderseminar Indonesien über ihre diakonischen und theologischen Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Naturkatastrophen.
